I've been coming to access for the past three months and they give great one on one care. All of the pts at access are extremely knowledgeable and give great advice. They are working with me to reach my goals each session. They are treating my injury thoroughly and do their very best to get me back to my daily activities. Was this review helpful?

I began using Access P.T. in June 2010 when I fractured my wrist. I wanted a place nearby and chose Access from a long list without knowing what a fine facility it is. My sessions started with Dereck Steffe who is quite knowledgeable and informative. Dereck told me that my wrist would eventually become stronger than the left. At the time I was not believing this but Dereck was correct. It is stronger! In Sept. of 2010 I injured my lower back. Again I knew exactly where I was going for physical therapy. I was in terrible pain and had difficulty moving about but Dereck was very patient, gave me home exercises and treatments to strengthan this area, along with lots of helpful advice. Gradually I became more mobile and pain-free. Dereck explained the importance of stretching and how to properly pick up heavy items which is valuable information in itself. In Sept. of 2011 while at a dog training class I slipped on the rubber matting while gaiting my pup and went down hard on my knee which I fractured in two places along with pulled tendons. I was in a cast for a month, unable to bend the leg while hobbling around like the tin man . The doctor said that when cast came off I would be very stiff and that he had a great place for me to do physical therapy. Ironically it turned out to be Access which I already knew I was going to. So here I am in Dereck's healing hands again but improving everyday through his encouragement and patience in order to get me back to being able to show my dogs. Dereck knows this so is now focusing on this issue since I have made a huge improvement from when I first hobbled in to Access a month ago. If I don't have the confidence to do an exercise Dereck is right there to prove me wrong! When Dereck is not available I have had the pleasure of working with Angela and on occasion with Neil. Each one of these people always add their own personal touch for my treatment by diversifying instructions to give me the confidence to progress further along in order to reach my goal. I have passed these thoughts along to friends and neighbors who were unaware that there was such a facility in our town. I would not hesitate to recommend Access Physical Therapy of Armonk and the caring professional people that are attentive to one's concerns. A 5 Star rating for sure! I am an elementary school teacher and I finally had some long awaited foot surgery in July 2011. I was sure that I had left enough time so that I could be back on my feet by September and ready to meet my new students. Unfortunately, when I got off my crutches I found that walking again was no easy task. I really needed to hit the ground running and so I needed help fast. I have worked with Neil and Angela at Access PT for the last two months. They have given me the results and progress that I was hoping for. I have found them to be caring, encouraging and thoughtful professionals. They listen carefully to my concerns and they always keep my therapy goals in the forefront. Their combination of manipulation, exercise and at home practice has put me well on the road to recovery. Their kind manner and good humor always give me a lift, even when I am struggling to get to the next level of my workout. I began my school year limping along but after working with the folks at Access, my students have to run to keep up with me! I would recommend the professionals at AccessPT without any hesitation. Was this review helpful?

I had been having significant heel pain when standing or walking for several years, and had tried stretching, orthotics, analgesics, and even a steroid injection, but nothing had provided long-term relief. Neil at Access PT worked closely with me, trying a number of stretching and strengthening exercises over several months, until we found a simple regimen that really worked, and my heel is now much better. I appreciate that Neil works directly with his patients, not assigning a an uncredentialed assistant as at another therapist that I had previously used. He also cares about his patients, asking questions and modifying the PT until he finds the right combination that works for the individual. Was this review helpful?

Like Family... After 2 months of my shoulder not fixing itself, I finally went to my doctor to get physical therapy. I found Access Physical Therapy and Wellness and it was a great experience. Not only were the therapists and staff friendly and helpful, I felt like I mattered as a patient, something that is missing in bigger medical groups. I was amazed how quickly my shoulder recovered when I followed the plan of the very knowledgeable Therapist, Neil Chernick. When I inevitably hurt myself again, I'm going straight to Access Physical Therapy and Wellness in Armonk, NY.Was this review helpful?
