Great place to go for any apple-needs. My computer's hard drive crashed about 1 month after my 3-year warranty expired (unlucky, I know). I went in anyways, and they said it was alright that it was just a bit after the month, so they could still fix it. I got a new hard drive for free and they even managed to transfer all my information over to my new hard drive so I didn't lose a thing! Was this review helpful?

Although I use a computer every day for a variety of purposes, I am definitely not a Techie who loves spending hours/days mastering 'all things computer'. Rather I prefer to get in, do what I need to do in an efficient manner & get on with my life. I've gone to the Northridge Genius Bar 12+ times for tech support & have always had a positive experience. I've used PC ph support several times @ work or to help my non-tech savvy mother, and it will never hold a candle to the in-person help I get at the Apple store. It's honestly a large part of what has kept me a loyal Apple user for over 25 years. Apples cost more, but when I figure in the free tech support, classes & training I've used, I think I've actually saved money being a MAC user. It's certainly saved me a lot of aggravation! I like being in the store-it has 'club-like' feel & most seem very happy to be there. My only complaint is that sometimes it's so busy, it's next-to-impossible to get help on the floor w/o spending hours in the store. Management needs to track the flow of foot traffic & staff the store accordingly..so customers can get back to their lives in a timely fashion. Was this review helpful?

Bad Service but Good Response I had some problems when I went in for tech support. I made sure to make a note of it on the survey that apple sends out. 1 day later I got a call from the store manager wanting to know what happened and how they can improve. I'd suggest that everyone who has a bad experience call the store and let the manager know. Was this review helpful?

I had an appointment at 10:15 w / the Genius Bar. I showed up around 10:05 and they told me to wait until my name was called. They called me around 10:20 (5 minutes later than my appointment was set). This isn't perfect, but it's not really a big deal. The employee that helped me, Chris, diagnosed my problem, looked up the information for the computer (it was registered under my wife's dad's name because he got it for her before we were married), changed the registration info to have my name and #, told me the date the computer was bought, told me when the warranty would expire, and then told me that since the battery died before its expected lifetime, I would get a free one (and no installation fees) instead of having to pay approximately $125. He could have lied and said I had to buy a new one, since I was expecting to buy a new one. But he offered it for free (which was the right thing to do, of course). The battery wasn't in stock so they are ordering it for me and will give me a call in a few days when it arrives. I was in and out very quickly. Was this review helpful?
