If you live in Denver you have to go to Casa Bonita at least once. But no more than three times. It's cheesy and corny and fun and uniquely Denver. Was this review helpful?

Nowhere near as bad as reviewed... I went expecting the worst food I've ever had. The food, while FAR from excellent, is not inedible, as I've previously read. My entire party ordered All You Can Eat chicken platters, and ate lots of food. Again, not fantastic, pretty bland and cheap tasting, but easily edible and not pure garbage. The service was actually very, very good, and were with us very quickly after we raised our flags for more food. The sopapillas are easily as good as people say! We were seated right next to the waterfall, and while we could smell chlorine, it wasn't overwhelming. The shows at the waterfall were very, very stupid, but were obviously catered to the kids who ate it all up. Overall, it was a fun night, and I don't regret going. Was this review helpful?

Best mexican food server ever!! Our waitress was on top of all our drink orders and our repeated orders for fresh sopapias. She was from mexico, wich made the experience more authentic to being on west colfax. Nobody ate the entrees because they were so horrid. Best attraction is either a puppet show or balloon clown. Disliked: FoodWas this review helpful?

If your looking for great food, then go to Taco Bell. Ha! But the atmosphere is why you head to Casa Bonita. Fun for the whole family! Be sure to check out Black Barts Cave! Was this review helpful?

Fun and historic - yes the food is marginal Apparently it's quite a lot of fun to jump on the Casa Bonita has the worst food in the entire UNIVERSE bandwagon. All trying to come up with more creative ways to express it and outdo the other reviewers. Fascinating... It is a fun and worthwhile trip (especially with kids). Of course you don't go for the food. Frankly everybody here complaining about the food must be a little mentally slow. It is a given that the food is marginal. You can't go there and then act shocked at the quality of the food. Wish it were better but it's not. I have been going here for over 35 years and I am glad it's still around. If you are concerned about the food don't go. Instead simply purchase a plane ticket to New York and go to Le Bernardin. Surely you will find that food acceptable. Was this review helpful?
