Deep selection, but lousy service It's probably the most unfriendly place I've been to. The employees walk around looking like they're busy and trying to avoid you. The Tempe location is slightly better, but more of the same. If you know what you're getting, then it's a great store. Otherwise, you're better off going to BestBuy. The selection isn't as deep, but at least their employees do make an effort to help you.Was this review helpful?

I'd like this place more if customer service was better and it didn't feel like a bargain bin at the flea market. And they DON'T take American Express...Was this review helpful?

You get what you pay for While I've seen many 1 star reviews for Fry's Electronics, they seem to be written by people outside of the store's primary demographic. The business started as a electronics and computer component warehouse store. While their business model allows them to lower prices, don't expect personalized service, that's not what Fry's is about. Everything from the size of the store to the assembly-line-style checkout lets you know that this they are not catering to the casual consumer. As a hard-core geek, I love shopping at Fry's, and while I might have to track someone down, their staff has been able to answer some very technical questions. It's basically like shopping online: The prices are low, but most of the products are cheap imported electronics, and they can be pretty shady on rebates and returns, and you might have to do your own research before making a purchase. On the upside, you don't have to wait for shipping, and you can see the product first-hand.Was this review helpful?

I LOVE this store! They have almost everything I could ever need and they've bent over backwards to honor their warranty and return policies, both in Tempe and Phoenix. Their hours and locations are fairly convenient (24 hours a day would be better!), and the stores are just a joy to shop in for any kind of techno-geek. I run a computer repair shop, and I would be lost without Fry's Electronics. Some of the store help is shockingly ignorant and unhelpful, but there are several people in each store that know their stuff and go out of their way to help. Rufus in the Phoenix location is the best! That said, I don't buy TVs or appliances here, so I can't speak to the prices or quality of those. I just know that for computers, peripherals, and related parts, they have a very good selection at very good prices, and they've treated me and my business very fairly. What more could I want? Was this review helpful?

I remember as a kid me and my dad would drive 45 minutes just to come here, I loved it. Haha even now, since I like 15 minutes I love going there for everything, im not sure how their staff is but only because everything is set up to, if you know what you want, you can find it easily. Plus everything is fun to just look at too. Disliked: Value, Parking, SelectionWas this review helpful?
