As a Gold Passport member I can definitely appreciate the Hyatt Standard. The Seattle Grand Hyatt is 1st class all the way!!! Beautiful rooms, great customer service, and affordable rates!!!

Great place to stay but watch out for the internet.. I stayed here overnight on a business trip, and thought the room was great, along with the staff, room service etc. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The bedding and linen are also really good. The one thing that irked me was having to pay extra for wireless internet. They have free wired internet. I have no idea why the wireless is not included in the room rent. When I found the wired internet was not working, I was asked to call the tech help center, and was on hold. Finally, when I reached the end of my patience, I called the front desk and they told me to register for wireless and that charges would be waived by the hotel. I wasted 30 minutes trying to get on the net. Given the short time I had, I could have done without this inconvenience.

Fabulous Hotel & Staff My husband and I stayed here over memorial day weekend. I typically don't write reviews but the staff at this hotel made our stay memorable. This hotel has all the amenities that you could hope for and want, its quiet, clean, has great decor, and a very warm and courtous staff. The gym is amazing, it had the latest equipment, great little extras (headphones, cold towels) and it is huge. I'm always a bit weary when I see pictures of gyms that look incredible, because most of the time you get to the hotel and there are just two treadmills and you are so close to the person next to you that they might as well just hop onto to your treadmill. You won't be disappointed with this gym--its amazing and has a steam room! We were also lucky enough to get a pass to the club room which offerred a continental breakfast, espresso/tea/hot cocoa all day and appetizers in the evening. The staff was excellent. It was our anniversary and they even sent up a bottle of wine & chocolates! We were more than pleased. We were debating between staying at the Westin (we are Starwood Preferred Guests) and the Grand Hyatt and after speaking with the staff at both hotels, the choice was simple. If you want to have a great stay in Seattle--choose the Grand Hyatt.

Very classy decor in a nice location. Got a great deal on Priceline, but was still disappointed with the nickel and diming. Paying for WiFi is a turnoff. Another annoyance: no phone books in the rooms. Want to look for a restaurant in the phone book? You are out of luck here. This bugged me too: they have 42 LCD Hi-Def Wide-screen TVs. And you know what? They still have the old analog cable in standard format. You have to watch stretched out standard format video (the old 4:3 size) on a new 16:9 wide screen TV. And they lock the TV menu so you can't adjust the screen. I thought this was very amateurish, really. You can get a free newspaper everyday, but you have to go to the concierge and ask for it. Anyway, if you enjoy very upscale decor in a nice part of town, this will work, but I wouldn't put this high on my list of places to stay in Seattle.

Overall fantastic location, clean, friendly staff, convienent parking, quality! Worst part is paying for internet, I was surprised by this as wireless has become an essential, not so much a luxury and especially in this city!
