Although it's one of the oldest bars in the city, it still seems like your run-of-the-mill faux-Irish pubs. Decent brunch though: $10 for a full breakfast including a cocktail and coffee. Was this review helpful?

Hidden Secret Went to Petes on a lark with a group of friends we did not know that it was such a great place to star gaze,Kate Hudson and her children were a nice surprise I also saw Johnny Depp there a different time. Petes is a great secret treasure we had a great time at the bar Calamari and chicken wings did the trick. Get a look at the George Clooney look a like manager named Gary. Just wanted to say how nice a time we had. Guys keep up the good work!! I also loved the shrimp parm. and my girlfriend swears by your spring chicken.............Was this review helpful?

Great old establishment. Pete's was one of the few bars to stay open against Irene and it's the type of place that will continue to brave any sort of storm. Amazingly perfect and overdone Christmas lights throughout the holiday season with a pretty good house ale on tap. The food is pretty forgettable except for the surprisingly delicious veal meatballs. Was this review helpful?

I like that Pete's is no frills. There's a ton of seating - a welcomed change from more cramped NYC dining. I'm a fan of their burger. Be wary of any themed menus - their Oktoberfest menu wasn't their best offering. Their basic wine selection is decent and come by at Christmastime for their eggnog. That definitely didn't disappoint!!Was this review helpful?

Old New York Bar Quite an attractive and presumably fairly old bar room at the front, by New York standards. We sat in the restaurant area at the back, which was less picturesque. Food was pretty average, no complaints about the service. I think I'd probably have enjoyed it more if we'd just stopped in for a drink and stayed in the bar room. Was this review helpful?
