A bit pricey but easily worth it. The Colorado Rack of Lamb was an enormous portion with an extraordinary taste. It was a clear choice over the Baseball Steak, which was also excellent. The onion rings had a terrific delicate, light flavor. A real plus is that the restaurant is quiet with super comfortable booths so that strain-free conversation is possible. The unique, non-corporate ambiance is palpable. A minus is that the on-line menu does not include prices. Pacific Dining Car is thus emulating other high end restaurants that are too embarrassed to show their prices. Entrees are ~$54, with everything a la carte. Dinner for two with tip and a glass of wine came to a shade under $180. This is a clear choice over the other high end downtown restaurants with small portions and a noisy, conversation-killing atmosphere, like the those in the Patina group (e.g., Cafe Pinot; Patina) which do display online prices. Was this review helpful?

Pacific Dining Car is not muchexpensive, Where else can you get your car washed and spend $20 for steak and eggs for breakfast? Try out happy hour and taste some of their great food. Was this review helpful?

How great is it to have a 24 hour dining option in LA? It's a little pricey if you're just looking for a late night bite, but it's great to have a little NY in downtown LA.Was this review helpful?
