Being a Woman with Car Troubles It is very annoying the way I am treated when contacting an auto repair facility. I am spoken down to and treated as if I am stupid and know nothing about my car. My father owned a car dealership with gas station when I was growing up so I lived in the garage during summers and after school. I learned all kinds of things and actually was paid for working on cars during my high school years. Simple things like oil changes, rust proofing and helping the guys on the real jobs all the time asking questions and learning. So I know when I am getting a BS job or if I am being treated as a customer with respect. I started bringing my car to the Mt. Pleasant Tuffy only because a neighbor worked there at the time but continued to bring it there because of the service received at a fair price. A price well below what the dealerships charge. It was about 1996 or 1997 the first time the guys worked on my car and I have since moved to Indiana but I still count on the Mt; Pleasant guys for most of the repairs. In August of 2010 I was driving from Ft. Wayne to Mt. Pleasant when my car started acting up about 20 miles from home. I called Dan and asked if it would be okay to continue or should I return home and get my other car. After some Q&A and suggestions we continue north. Dan even played Operator supplying the phone number for a car rental place. We made it and the car was repaired on time for us to return home. These guys go out of there way to help and fix my car the first time, with no hassle. There are times that I can't get to Mt. Pleasant for my car repairs and I am always disappointed those time. If only they would move the business to Ft Wayne. Thanks for over a decade of outstanding service! Was this review helpful?

Took my truck in for repairs, was given a quote that seemed fair and reasonable. The work they did was great and it turned out that the work done was a little less than the quote given. My problem was solved and the truck runs great. I will continue to have the folks do my repair work at the Tuffy in Mount Pleasant. Was this review helpful?

Tuffy fixed the electrical problems with my Focus in less than an hour. The previous owner had made some awful mods, and the work was shoddy. They fixed the issue in and out very quickly, and got my car back to me in better shape than I bought it. The guy I worked with was friendly and joked with me a bit, but didn't jerk me around on any prices. After some terrible experiences at AutoLab, I'll be back to Tuffy for any more issues my car has.Was this review helpful?

Went to Tuffy and got my truck FIXED! This is the ONLY place that I will take my vehicles because of the honest diagnosis, quality parts, and friendly service. I was going to Midas in Alma and they ruined my NEW tires with a bad alignment. I can't say enough about the help Tuffy in Mt. Pleasant has given me. Tuffy fixed the things that Midas couldn't fix or didn't want to fix.Was this review helpful?

The customer service is great. I went in to get a winter inspection and the mechanic showed me everything that needed to be fix/replaced instead of just telling me. I am satisfied with the service they provided. Was this review helpful?
