I stayed two nights in a deluxe suite and I think I've found my new favorite hotel! A lot of credit is owed to the staff, who really seem to go out of their way to be helpful and were eager to accommodate special requests. They had that rare quality of being both very professional and very friendly. The building itself was fantastic. I liked the just-off Michigan avenue location with a nice quiet driveway/courtyard. The room appeared to be very new and was as well decked-out as any upscale hotel room I've been to. The room service, spa, and bar were all excellent. The house car was a nice touch. The view from the room wasn't better than anything you'd find anywhere else in downtown Chicago, but it was fine. The price was on the expensive side, but well worth it. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Was this review helpful?

Over RATED Stayed at the hotel, I totally agree with the one person, looking at Walgreens, how beautiful, NOT. Parking garage on another side and the other two sides did not stand out as a spectacular view. The staff, I'm sorry can we all say FAKE NICE. If you can't hire people that are genuine WHY DID YOU HIRE THEM? Because the general manager is the same.? It is a new hotel, so I will give it that it is in nice shape, wonder what will happen to it in a few years from now. I think it was over priced for what we received. This is NOT a 5 star hotel. As I have stated before, I have to wonder if all the great reviews that you are reading are from the people that work there! I would go to a hotel near the lake. Was this review helpful?

lovely new hotel Rooms are big and nice. Food service isn't quite there yet. Cold room service...slooooow waiters in resto. And a mandatory 18% tip on parties of all sizes. WTF.Was this review helpful?

This is by far probably the nicest hotel in Chicago. The staff was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. They were willing to help no matter how large or small the request. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous both on the inside and out. We didn't get a chance to try out the spa, but I've heard rave reviews about its quality. The upgraded us to a suite given they were overbooked, so we got to experience a higher-end room. The bed was very comfortable and all modern day and technological amenities you can think of were present. The nicest touch of our stay, the chauffeured us to our dinner reservations in an extended-base LS Lexus; WOW!Was this review helpful?

The Elysian Hotel Chicago is the best hotel experience you can get in Chicago. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. This is NOT your normal hotel. Everyone called me by name from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out 2 days later. It was bizarre that they all knew me by name. The food was absolutely amazing. The rooms are the most clean and well thought out I have seen. The minimalist decor is perfect. Do not expect a good price for anything. If you want to save money, stay at the Holiday Inn. This is the kind of place you go if you're looking for a truly wonderful experience… money no object. In the same breath, it's worth EVERY DIME. THANK YOU Elysian!!!Was this review helpful?
