The oysters were excellent and most of the food was well-prepared. I loved the herring but was disappointed with the trout. No one at my table was thrilled with the cocktails- the featured cocktails weren't very well done and the old fashioned was too sweet for my taste. We switched to beer- they had a few local beers that were pretty good. We're definitely going back for the oysters and to try out a couple other items. I may try the cocktails again to see if we just hit an 'off' night. Was this review helpful?

Finally made it in to try this place. Got there just after 5 on a Tuesday, was still given an estimated wait time of 45 minutes for 2 people. Fortunately, they will take your cell # and call when your table is ready. We wandered off to get a drink elsewhere and finally got called back an hour later. Our server was very helpful with oyster & cocktail recommendations. I've never been a fan of raw oysters, but these were delicious. We also got fried oysters & brussel sprouts and enjoyed them as well. I think our only regret was not ordering the Mustache Ride cocktail. That will be at the top of the list when I return. Was this review helpful?

Like: Oysters and their Champagne dipping sauce is WONDERFUL. (and i don't even like oysters). Steak Tartare with farm egg yolk on toast and their Panna Cotta was delicious. Cute little setting where you can watch them shuck the oysters right in front of you. Nice little venue and entrance. Lots of brick. Love the brick. Very hidden, usually very packed but worth the wait. Somewhat pricey but worth the ambiance. Was this review helpful?

It's a unique space where you won' t see the restaurant up front. You need to go inside a hallway that lead you to the restaurant. Oysters are fantastic, and the customer service is good! :D recommended! Was this review helpful?

I had my first oyster here and I'm hooked ! Although I haven't found oysters as good since. Their fried Brussels sprouts will make you forget you ever hated that vegetable. The Walrus and Carpenter has become one of my favorite neighborhood spots! Was this review helpful?
